Gilbert "Beto" Delgado
Vice President of Construction

Gilbert “Beto” Delgado was born in 1959 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He grew up during a period of significant political and economic instability. Dedicated to his nation, Gilbert served in the Brazilian Army, holding rank until 1983. In pursuit of advancement within the military, he relocated to the capital city of Brasília, where he served in motorcycle patrol and cavalry units. After starting his family with his wife, Maria, they made the pivotal decision to immigrate to the United States—one that would prove life-changing. Together, they sought to secure a more stable and opportunity-rich future for their children, with a focus on education and long-term professional growth. Gilbert began his career in the United States as a freelance house painter, where his skill, work ethic, and attention to detail quickly distinguished him. His reputation for quality and reliability led to strong relationships with key partners, ultimately allowing him to expand his work into a full-service home renovation business. Over the past 43 years, he has built an outstanding reputation throughout the greater Washington, D.C. area. Today, Gilbert remains highly active in the industry and oversees all construction within the CANDANGOS portfolio. He is widely recognized as the organization’s figurehead, bringing decades of experience, credibility, and craftsmanship to the family-owned and operated company.
