Raphael “Rapha” Delgado developed an early passion for athletics, where his speed, discipline, and competitive drive quickly distinguished him. He competed at a high level in soccer, traveling extensively through elite travel leagues and Olympic Development Program (ODP) academies before transitioning to track and field. His performance earned him a scholarship to the University of Virginia, where he competed at an elite level and secured multiple medals. Following his athletic career, Raphael began his professional path in finance before moving into high-end technology sales with global firms such as Oracle and Dell. He went on to build and lead high-performance sales teams within emerging and growth-stage companies, where he became known for driving results, developing talent, and executing at a high level in competitive environments. Leveraging this foundation in business, leadership, and client experience, Raphael transitioned into entrepreneurship, following in his father’s footsteps in the construction industry. He combined his operational discipline with hands-on expertise, establishing a reputation for precision, accountability, and an elevated approach to both design and execution. Today, Raphael serves as President of Candangos, a high-end construction firm specializing in luxury renovations, custom homes, additions, and architecturally driven outdoor living spaces. Under his leadership, the firm operates with a highly selective, detail-driven approach, delivering projects defined by exceptional communication, disciplined site management, and uncompromising craftsmanship. Raphael holds a Virginia Class A Contractor License, Maryland Home Improvement License (MHIC), and Washington, DC General Contractor License. He is also a NADRA-certified Deck Safety Inspector, OSHA 30 certified, and lead-certified, reflecting his commitment to both technical excellence and safety. He is an active member of the Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce. Grounded in a lifetime of performance-driven experience, Raphael leads with a clear standard: quality is defined by execution.
